Miscellaneous medals and badges, Auckland arms lapel badge in silver (17.5x20.5mm), by A.Kohn Ltd, pin-back (pin missing); Franklin Trotting Club Steward badge in gilt and enamel (30x23mm), by Worrall, Auck (land), pin-back; N.Z.Marching Assn badge in silvered and enamel (26x30mm), no maker, pin-back; Papakura O(rphans) C(lub) badge in silver and enamel (30x20mm), no maker, button back; The New Zealand Red Cross Society medal in silvered and enamel (22mm), no maker, ring top suspension with brooch bar '20 Years Service', RAOB (Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes), Grand Lodge of England, N.Z., Brother (1st Degree) jewel in gilt and enamel, by Young & Co (Auckland), with lower suspension bar inscribed 'Hamilton Central No 144', top Buffalo horns suspender missing stick pin, gilt and enamel NZ on a fern leaf affixed to ribbon, reverse of medal inscribed 'Presented To/Bro. M.J.Butler/By Hamilton Central Lge/No 144/16.3.51'. The second with a few chips to enamel, otherwise very fine - extremely fine. (6)

M.J.Butler probably Michael Joseph Butler of Frankton, ex NZ Railways, who enlisted at Huntly, Waikato and served as a Private in WWII with 24 Infy Bn 2NZEF. He was taken POW in Greece and was returned to New Zealand on 5 August 1945.
